What's good about it? I already have a JD with a Vintage Synth card (and also planning to get a cheap 880 for the extra 60s&70s card I have). Says it all really.Īm sorry I'm not being that helpful but the M1 really rubs me up the wrong way. However the M1 went within weeks and have since had 5 DX7s and 4 D-50s and still love them as synthesizers. I can see the attraction if you are a collector type - partly why i bought mine (for £60 with a few cards and a case! or I'd not have) in the first place to go with my DX7 and D-50 to complete the trio. If you want a similar era rompler the Roland D-70 and the Yamaha SY85 are leagues ahead of the M1. With any other synth I'd say they are inspiring to have the hardware but there's nothing inspiring about the M1 - a bland sounding bland looking limited button black box of 1988 grade 'finished' samples.
#KORG M1 CARDS SOFTWARE#
It's as rompler as they come, the very blueprint and definition of., if you want all those cards just get the software version it has them all included and sounds better too. Of all the synths I ever had the M1 was the only one I really hated, I admit it was 20+ years after it was supposed to be cutting edge, the synth engine goes nowhere on it.
